MMA Transfers Ltd. was founded in 2016 by Paul Maher.
I was in a motorbike accident and in hospitalised when I thought of building my
own Taxi Company. For many years I had been a taxi driver for different
companies and had previous businesses in different industries.
This time, I wanted to build the best and most reliable Private Hire Taxi
Company in the area I knew best and had grown up in Manchester.
Whilst injured in the hospital, I needed something to keep me busy as I was out of
work and needed a new plan. That is when I started to build the company. In
my hospital bed, I planned what I was going to do and how to do it and found
my target clients of Manchester Airport Transfers.
After developing my own website and starting to take bookings, I could take on
drivers and take more bookings rather than just for myself, which meant the
the company was starting to grow quickly. By the time I was out of the hospital, I
was able to take on more work and drivers and the business started to flow
naturally putting us Travelers Choice for 3 years running and Three Best Rated
with still plenty more room to grow and expand.

10kg hand luggage.

All our drivers are experienced and professional drivers with more than 5 years
of driving experience. Our drivers are always equipped for each journey and
aim to give our clients the best experience always aiming and achieving goals
to a high standard.
Maintaining the vehicles to a high standard goes without a miss! Drivers
ensure all vehicles are cleaned and mechanically maintained for all trips to
always ensure cleanliness and comfort.
Each driver holds a valid Private Hire Taxi Badge where DBS checks are carried
out each year on the badge renewal. Any driver without a valid Private Hire
Badge is suspended from the system until the City Council provides the driver
with a new valid license.
MMA Transfers works on a fixed fare basis to ensure you don’t pay more than
expected for your journey no matter the traffic or any road delays which may
make the journey longer than expected. Free quotations are offered via the
booking system on the main page of the website.
We also work on a prepaid basis so need for stops at the cash machine on your
journey. Prepayment is offered via a payment link sent to your email once you
have made the booking online and it has been accepted. Our payment link
accepts all credit and debit cards from the UK and Internationally.
We also accept payments via Bank Transfer, the details can be found at the bottom of
the payment link email, all we require is for you to use your booking reference
as the payment reference and respond to the email to inform us you have paid
by Bank Transfer.
